LO2 Planing A Multi Page Website - Content
The website will include information about bees and how you can help them from your own home. the website will also feature a donation option so you can donate and/or help the bees yourself.
LO2 Planning A Multi Page Website/Audience
The audience of my website will be both male and female as this issue affects both genders of all ages. The audience will be A,B,C1,C2 and overall anyone who likes or cares about bees.
LO2 Planing A Multi Page Website - Purpose
The purpose of the "hive it" website will be to raise money to save the bees in Britain through personal help of people around the country and by the donations of the public. The website will include information on ways you can help the bees from your home and also general information on why they are important to your country.

LO1 Analysis of Gumtree
A) Purpose
The purpose of Gumtree is to sell products to the public. The products are sold by users round the country who no longer want said products and they get sold through the website to buyers who are interested in the product.
B) Visitor Needs
People use Gumtree to to sell/buy things. Gumtree meets these needs by having a simple search bar that searches for key words to find what you want and also has its products split up in to categories so you can find what you want or something similar. To buy something of gumtree you need to contact the seller through the email that is given to you on the website so you can agree on a price and a way to get it over to the buyer.
C) Information Flow/ User Experience
The user experience for the website Gumtree is that it allows users to buy and sell possessions. The website makes it easy for user to do this by putting a navigation bar in the middle of the screen, this is done to make sure the user sees it, making navigating the site easier.
D) Features
Gumtree has lots of features that make the user experience as easy as possible. For example, the website has a search bar, this allows the user to search for specific things they want to sell or buy on the site. The site also has a navigation bar in the center of the screen, this allows users to navigate the site easily and efficiently.
E) Benefits
The benefits for the producer is that the products on the website are placed by other users so the producer only needs to keep the website going and get money of the users.
The benefits for the audience is that they can find many products in one place and that the products don't have a set price as you can discuss on it with the seller.
F) Content
There are lots of different aspects to Gumtree that connote that it is an auction site. For example, the price tags on the product thumbnails connote how much that item costs to either bid on or buy. There are also tags in the navigation bar which help users find items they are specifically looking for to either buy or sell.
LO1 Analysis of Youtube
A) Purpose
The purpose of Youtube is to entertain and to inform its users through videos. Youtube has videos uploaded by the users and they get money for the amount of views they have on their video. Youtube also suggests videos that are similar to the ones you have watched and/or popular in your area.
B) Visitor Needs
People visit Youtube to entertain themselves and to educate themselves through videos. Youtube meets these needs by having easily accessible videos that can be found easily through the search bar and also has videos that are split in to sections so you can watch videos that you are interested in. Youtube also keeps a history of videos that you have watched so you can find them easily as they will come up on your suggested.
C) Information Flow/ User Experience
The experience the user will get from using Youtube is they will be entertained, informed and educated. This is because anyone can post a video to the site so it depends on what the general public make for the site. The website is laid out to allow this, for example there is an upload button in the banner at the top of the screen which allows users to upload videos.

Youtube has lots of features to make the user experience as enjoyable as possible. The site has a search bar in the banner at the top of the screen which allows the user to search for videos they want to view. The site also has a drop down menu next to the logo in the banner. This acts as a central hub for the site and allows the user to navigate to different parts of it.
E) Benefits
The main benefits for Youtube being a website is that anyone all over the world can access it. This means Youtube can appeal to a large demographic by advertising videos based on peoples interests. Youtube also runs ads on videos uploaded, so the more people watch videos, the more money Youtube makes.

A) Purpose
The purpose of Wikipedia is to inform and teach its users about certain things that they want to know about. Wikipedia has articles on a wide range of topics such as history and general interests. Wikipedia also has a news system that shows users interesting facts about today and what happened in history on this day.
B) Visitor Needs
People go on Wikipedia to get information on specific topics. Wikipedia meets the needs by having an easily accessible database of information on many topics that its users might want to know about. The articles on Wikipedia have links that would take you to related posts so you are able to find the needed information easily.
C) Information Flow/ User Experience
The experience the user/viewer gets from this website is that they will be informed or educated. This is because the website is laid out so different and interesting articles are easily accessible and viewable. This can be seen by the four sub headings in the middle of the page which each display different information.
D) Features
Wikipedia has lots of different features to make the user experience as positive as possible. For example, the website has a search bar which allows the user to easily search for specific pieces of information. It also has a navigation panel at the left side of the website, which help the user navigate the site.
E) Benefits
The benefits for the producer is that they don't need to update their website as it gets updated by public and it attracts a lot of publicity. Its a non-profit organisation but they have a charity that uses donations to educate poorer countries.
The benefits for the audience is that they can access any information with a single search. Its also free so you can easily access information at any time.

The content of Wikipedia are a lot of features that connotes that its a educational site some of these include; an obvious search bar that lets u find whatever you want. Wikipedia also has a suggestion part to every article which will link you to similar posts.
LO1 Analysis of iTunes
A) Purpose
The purpose of iTunes is to sell music, videos/movies. iTunes also shows lists of the top/newest music and films which have reviews that are left by users to help other users decide on what they want to buy. iTunes lets you download or stream the music and films in high quality.
B) Visitor Needs
People mostly visit iTunes to buy films and music. iTunes meets these needs by having a wide range of music and films that you can buy/stream and its easily accessible through the search option and can be bought through through only a couple of clicks. iTunes also helps users decide what they want to buy by showing the m charts and new releases that the users might be interested in.
C) Information Flow/ User Experience
The experience the user will get from this website is they will be entertained by listening to music, watching movies, listening to podcasts and watching TV programmes. They will also be informed on the new music releases. The website does this by showing scrollable panels they connote what music they suggest you should listen depending on what you have listened to in the past, they also connote new releases and top download charts.
D) Features
iTunes has lots of features which make the user experience as easy as possible, some of these features include drop down menus which give information to the user, such as new releases and top download charts. iTunes also has a navigation panel at the right side, this allows the user to navigate the website easily and quickly by clearly describing where that link will take you on the site.
E) Benefits
The benefits for the producer is that the music/film makers make money and money also goes to apple for selling/advertising the products.
The benefits for the audience is that they can buy all the products from one place and they can also see reviews/recommended products for them.
F) Content
There are lots of features to connote that iTunes is a media streaming site and a media shopping site. Some of these include, the price tags next to the songs. These connote that the user can purchase that product and how much it will cost them. Another is the navigation bar at the top, one of the buttons is called 'iTunes Store', this connotes that people can go there to purchase products.

A) Purpose
The purpose of Facebook is to entertain people and let them socialise it may also be used to inform people on current events. Facebook keeps people socialised through features like messenger, video calls and it also keeps you in touch with people thought their posts which can include photos and videos.
B) Visitor Needs
People would visit Facebook to socialise. Users socialise through many functions that Facebook has including the chat and call functions but mainly the timeline function where people who you add as friends can post, share and like content that includes pictures videos and text. Facebook also has features like the event feature where you can create a Facebook event and invite people thought Facebook to a real life event.
C) Information Flow/ User Experience
The experience the user gets from this website is that they can chat, share articles and post pictures, videos and text. This allows the user to be social with friends. The denotation of this is there is a friends list on the right side, this connotes that the user can easily chat with friends. Another denotation is the like, comment and share button under posts. This connotes the ability for users to share posts they find interesting or provoking with their friends.
D) Features
There are lots of features that Facebook has to make the user experience as easy as possible. Some examples of features are, the search bar in the banner at the top of the screen. This allows users to search through friends and find interesting articles on the website. Another feature is the friend request, chat and notification buttons in the banner at the top of the screen, these are drop down menus which present information to user in an ordered, easy to understand format.
E) Benefits
The benefits for the producer of Facebook is that it can show adverts that are seen by thousands of people therefore they can ask for a high price as they know that it would be popular.
The benefits for the audience of Facebook is that its fun to socialise and they can put their pointing out there for others to see.
F) Content
Facebook has lots of features to connote that it is a social networking website. For example, the friends list on the right side connotes that users can add and keep track of friends by chatting, sharing posts and commenting. Also at the top left of the website, there is a button that says edit profile, this connotes that you can change your profile to make an e-profile of yourself which friends can comment on.
